About the Owner
Andrew Jacob, B.A. (Hons., M.A.) is a freelance writer and editor with 17 years' professional experience working with words, especially medical ones, and primarily within Ontario's motor vehicle accident (MVA) ecosystem. Andrew has become deeply familiar with the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) and has extensive experience preparing and editing medicolegal assessment reports: from the most straightforward Treatment and Assessment Plan (OCF-18) paper review to the most complex multidisciplinary catastrophic impairment determination, Andrew has handled it all, and he has been doing it since 2008.
Andrew refuses to compromise on quality despite the daily time pressures he and his clients face. Highly attentive to detail and perceptive of how individuals communicate, Andrew helps his clients get their message across in the form of polished writing that preserves their voices and saves them time.
Andrew’s primary professional activity for the past 17 years has been preparing and editing medicolegal assessment reports on behalf of all kinds of health professionals, but mainly clinical psychologists and physicians. Other experience working with words includes proofreading doctoral dissertations, producing video script copy as part of a large marketing project for one of Canada’s largest real estate investment trusts, and transcribing interviews for various clients who have included academics, healthcare institutions, an industrial-organizational psychologist, and a book author.
Andrew is a Professional Member of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA).
